This is all since Monday so basically 4 full days. It is almost like being on a high protein diet like Atkins where you lose a lot of weight quickly because it is water loss. This of course is the opposite of Atkins which is lots of meat, fat etc. I can tell you one thing I am certainly well hydrated.
How do I feel? Well very good...thanks for asking. One of the best things about being on a vegan type regimen, is not feeling bloated or too full. I think we have all experienced that and in many cases too often. I feel like I'm sleeping better, and I am less tired during the day. I also don't have any hunger pains where I feel like I have to have something "or I will just Die"
Katie also says she does not feel bloated, but has felt a headach a couple of times. This is not unusual as Katie sometimes gets Migraines. It actually talks about feeling a bit out of sorts in the book during the initial period. The Initial week is like a kick start for dropping weight.
Oatmeal again for breakfast with blueberries and walnuts, a tablespoon of flax seed and almond milk, which is fine by me, I like it. Also had a side of fresh pineapple chunks...I love fresh pineapple.
Golf today...finally a day with no rain.
Good golf game, although course was pretty wet in spots. Take a lunch with me which was tuna with cucumbers and onions in a whole wheat wrap. Tuna is actually not on the menu during the first phase weight loss, but pretty low calorie at any rate. Also had a banana and a few dates.
For supper, Katie made Cream of Cauliflower Soup
Chop - 1 head of cauliflower, 3 carrots, 1 c. celery, 2 leeks, 2 cloves of garlic, add 2 cups of carrot juice, 4 cups of water, ½ tsp. nutmeg, 1 cup raw cashews (crushed into fine powder) and kale (steamed) or spinach.
Add all ingredients except cashews and kale. Cook until tender. In a food processor or high powered blender, blend two thirds of the soup until smooth and cream. Return to pot and stir in spinach or steamed kale and cashew powder. Enjoy!!
It was delicious.
and veggie stir fry. VG!.
Then fruit for dessert....
Really good.....
more later....
