Day 3

That's more like it....249lbs this morning...but Katie is doing even better she is down 4.4lbs.

This is breakfast...oatmeal with banana and fresh blueberries...delicious!
Just so you know, this is the program we are following...
Seeing as we previously went Vegan for 4 months...this is not much of a departure...the biggest thing I think is the emphasis on fruits and vegetables. As you will see, we are not eating pasta at this point, which we did when we were doing the Vegan experiment.


This is sort of a basic summary of what we are doing...
  1. Remember, the salad is the main dish; eat it first at lunch and dinner.
  2. Eat as much fruit as you want, but at least four fresh fruits daily.
  3. Variety is the spice of life, particularly when it comes to greens.
  4. Beware of the starchy vegetable.
  5. Eat beans or legumes every day.
  6. Eliminate animal and dairy products.
  7. Have a tablespoon of ground flaxseed every day.
  8. Consume nuts and seeds in limited amounts, not more than one ounce per day.
  9. Eat lots of mushrooms all the time.
  10. Keep it simple. 
Just had a nice bowl of the vegetable soup for supper that Katie made couple of days ago...very good! My snack this morning was green grapes and dates. It was really good.

This was a very good supper...salad with homemade dressing and a bean burrito
